Expanded educational opportunities available in New Orleans

The Rental Show 2012 will kick off in New Orleans with a full day of seminars scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 5, with additional educational opportunities including morning sessions on Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Wednesday, Feb. 8. This year’s format includes 30 sessions, surpassing any other show.

“We have expanded the educational opportunities and the schedule is similar to 2011 in that we have a full day of seminars on Sunday, in addition to a series of informative sessions on the Tuesday and Wednesday mornings of the show,” says Allison Box, senior administrative director for association services for the American Rental Association (ARA), organizers of The Rental Show.

“One new element is our half-day indoor-outdoor training sessions, which will take place on Sunday. These include classroom instruction and actual product demonstrations on power distribution, concrete surface preparation and polishing, scaffolding and hardwood floor installation and refinishing. These sessions were created in response to requests from past show attendees. We also have included more round-table discussions to provide a wider range of viewpoints for attendees to consider,” Box says.

The new indoor-outdoor equipment training scheduled for 1:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, are limited to 50 participants and the spaces for those sessions were filled by early December.

The Tuesday seminar schedule includes the popular Rental Town Hall panel discussions, with one for Party and Event and the other for Construction and Tool set for 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 7.

The Wednesday, Feb. 8, seminars includes three round-table discussions including TableTalk: Managing Risk, Table Talk: Family Business and Table Talk: Marketing Strategies.
