Many attendees of The Rental Show are looking to begin their Super Bowl Sunday with The Rental Show Golf Tournament, held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Audubon Park Golf Course in New Orleans. Transportation will be provided from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Golfers should gather at the bus outside of Hall E; the bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. The tournament this year features contests, a drive-through beverage tent and a raffle for a $500 Marriott gift certificate. Hole-in-one and mulligan tickets will be available, with the hole-in-one prize of $35,000. All funds raised will support ARAPAC, the American Rental Association's (ARA) political action committee. Audubon Park Golf Course is just minutes from downtown New Orleans. The Denis Griffiths design features contoured Bermuda fairways, manicured Tif-Eagle greens, four lagoons and exquisite landscaping. Audubon also offers well-manicured greens with a competitive, executive-18-hole course. The course is a par 62, 4,220-yard layout set among 100-year-old oak trees. The tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Another of the new features available at The Rental Show 2012 Golf Tournament is the opportunity for participants to “Beat the Pro” — facing off against New Orleans golf pro Andrew Pratt. Pratt was named head women’s golf coach at Tulane University last August, just the fourth coach in the program’s 22-year history. He previously was an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee for three seasons, helping the team to three straight NCAA Championship appearances. Before entering the coaching ranks at his alma mater, Pratt spent four years playing golf professionally on the Nationwide Tour and played collegiately at Tennessee from 1999-2003.
