Sunday, Feb. 5, through Wednesday, Feb. 8. The trade show is Feb. 6 – 8.
What is the convention center address?
The Rental Show will be in Halls E through J at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The address is 900 Convention Center Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70130-1755.
What is the typical February weather in New Orleans?
New Orleans has a subtropical climate with pleasant year-round temperatures. In February, the average high temperature is 64 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low temperature is 45 degrees Fahrenheit, so be sure to bring a jacket. You also may want to bring an umbrella in case of rain.
Is wheelchair or scooter rental available for The Rental Show?
Mobility scooter and wheelchair rental is available at The Rental Show. For pickup at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, contact the UPS Store at 504-670-8941 or at www.theupsstorelocal.com/6216. For delivery to your hotel, contact Scootaround at 800-441-7575 or at www.scootaround.com/rentals/a/americanrentalassociation.
Will shuttle buses be available at the Show?
Three shuttle bus routes will run to and from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and select ARA Show hotels. Route One includes the Doubletree New Orleans, Hilton New Orleans Riverside, Loews New Orleans, Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel, W New Orleans and Wyndham Riverfront.
Route Two includes the Holiday Inn French Quarter, New Orleans Marriott and Westin New Orleans Canal Place.
Route Three includes the Astor Crowne Plaza, JW Marriott New Orleans and Omni Royal Crescent Hotel.
Other Show hotels are within walking distance of the convention center. Shuttle bus service will only be provided to these hotels on the evening of Feb. 7 for the Crescent City Carnival event at Mardi Gras World. See the Travel Tips for more information.
What ARA booths will be on the trade show floor?
The ARA Resource Center will be available on the show floor and will include information on membership, products and services, the ARA Foundation, ARA Insurance, Rental Management and more.
Can I check my email during The Rental Show?
Yes, there will be two Internet Cafés. One will be adjacent to Registration and the other will be outside Hall J. Each will include computer stations and a printer.
If I can’t attend all the seminars I want, can I receive a recording of the sessions I miss?
Attendees with full registration for The Rental Show will be able to go to www.TheRentalShow.com to download podcasts of most seminars after the Show. In addition, seminar handouts will be available for those with a full registration to download from the Web before The Rental Show so you can print out the ones you need and bring them along. Events & Tents attendees will be able to download handouts before and podcasts after the program.
Note: Printed handouts for all seminars also will be available on site. Sign up to receive a handout booklet when you register – you will receive a voucher on site to obtain the booklet. Watch for further details before the Show.
Where and when is The Rental Show in the future?
The 2013 Show is Feb. 10 – 13 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. This will be a new location for The Rental Show.
For 2014, The Rental Show returns to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 9-12.
