How big is the trade show?
The Rental Show is the largest rental trade show in the world. The
2009 Show will feature 650 exhibitors occupying more than 700,000 gross square feet
of exhibit space – the equivalent of more than 16 acres. More th
an 300 categories of products will be on display in three departments: heavy construction
(hall C2-C4), light construction/general tool (hall B4-B5) and party/special event
(hall B2-B3).
Where will registration be?
There will be two areas for registration. (NOTE: Registration will not be located
in the Registration Hall where it has been located in the past.) One location will
be on the exhibit hall level in hall B, between B3 and B4. A satellite registration
area will be in the lobby of hall C. Shuttle buses will run from hall B to hall
C.
Will shuttle buses/transportation be available at the Show?
Shuttle buses will run to and from the Georgia World Congress Center and most ARA
Show hotels. The exceptions are the Omni Hotel at CNN Center, the Embassy Suites
Centennial Olympic Park, the Glenn Hotel and the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown,
which are all within walking distance. Those staying at the walking-distance hotels
who want to reach hall C can ride a shuttle bus from hall B. All shuttle bus routes
will stop at both halls B and C.
Shuttle bus service will be provided to all Show hotels on the evening of March
2 for “Georgia on My Mind” at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and on the evening of
March 4 for “ARA’s Gone Country” at the Atlanta Civic Center.
Is wheelchair or scooter rental available for the Show?
Scooter and wheelchair rentals are available by contacting
ScootAround online at http://www.scootaround.com/rentals/a/ararental, by calling toll-free
888/441-7575 or by fax at 204/478-1172. Rentals also will be available on site
in Hall B at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Can I check my e-mail during The Rental Show?
There will be two Internet Cafés, both sponsored by Wynne Systems. One will be in hall B, the other in hall C. You will be able to check e-mail and view Web sites without leaving the Georgia World Congress Center.
If I can’t attend all the seminars I want, can I receive a recording of the sessions I miss?
Attendees from ARA general member businesses who have full Show registrations will receive a form with their seminar handouts to order a complimentary MP3 audio CD of
The Rental Show seminars. These forms can be turned in at the Show or faxed to ARA afterward to order the CD. Please note that only Show seminars will be recorded in 2009 – Construction U and Events & Tents will not be recorded, due to low demand for previous CDs.
When can I book hotel rooms for The Rental Show 2009?
Atlanta hotels can be booked now. There are 12 downtown Atlanta hotel properties
available. See the Travel and Housing section for complete details and a list of
the hotels.

Show hotels except the Omni Hotel at CNN Center and the Embassy Suites Centennial

What is the typical March weather in Atlanta?
Atlanta’s weather is mild for much of the year. The average March high temperature
is 65 degrees and the average low is 44.
What is the recommended dress for The Rental Show?
Business casual is recommended for ARA events. Some restaurants may require a jacket and tie for dinner.
Where can I find out what exhibitors will be at the Show?
This site includes an exhibitor locator with virtual booths for each of the 650 exhibiting companies that feature company and product information. You can create a Rental Show Assistant online to help you organize the booths you want to visit, as well as create a personalized schedule for the Show. (See the Web site for details.) In addition,
RENTAL MANAGEMENT magazine publishes a pre-Show issue in January with exhibitor lists and show floor maps. The February at-Show issue will be available on site in Atlanta and provide additional information.
The Rental Show Directory with exhibitor information and maps and The Rental Show Daily with the latest Show news will be available on site as well.
What ARA booths will be at the trade show?
You’ll find the following booths in Atlanta: ARA (featuring membership information, products, services, Canadian Rental Association information and more), ARA Foundation, RENTAL MANAGEMENT and ARA Insurance Services.
